Accreditation
The NCCER is a non-profit educational foundation designed to develop standardized craft training that is industry-driven. The goal is to provide students with portable credentials while addressing the critical shortage in the construction industry workforce. The mission of this organization is to create a productive, safe and sustainable workforce for a variety of industries. All instructors at Performance Training Solutions are credentialed through the center and two are certified as NCCER Master Trainers.
From NCCER HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS (HEO):
Heavy equipment operators (HEO) not only work on regular construction building jobs, but also on infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, and ports, otherwise called non-building construction), and in mining and timber operations. A trained and experienced equipment operator provides necessary skills for any project that requires moving and transporting heavy materials, or that demands any kind of earthmoving. PTS offers NCCER’s curriculum which will guide the trainee through modules covering each major piece of heavy equipment, as well as topics such as Civil Blueprint Reading, Soils, and Paving.
Specialized Training
Employers may also request customized training for employers needing specific skills taught to their workers. We work with employers to develop a program that meets their unique needs, based on the specific equipment to be used, and this training takes place at either a PTS facility or at a location of the employer’s choosing. Students will receive training in the classroom, in a lab and in the field, and the program will be designed to meet all OSHA, MSHA and PTS assessments to ensure consistency in evaluating the performance of students.
