Learn About Who We Are, What We Do, and the History Behind PTS

Performance Training Solutions is a heavy equipment and mobile crane operator school located in Columbus, Ohio. As one of the top training schools in the country, we assist those who wish to pursue a career as a heavy equipment operator and/or crane operator. Our team of experienced trainers, examiners, and admissions and career representatives are committed to helping our students succeed. We believe that it’s all about our students.

Recognizing a need for standardized training programs to fill in-demand operator jobs created by the burgeoning construction and energy development industries within Ohio and nearby states, PTS was launched on June 11, 2011, to help fill the skills gap. The commitment to small class sizes and the utilization of a nationally recognized standardized NCCER curriculum and training programs that yield NCCER and/or NCCCO credentials and/or certification ensure PTS graduates are job-ready.

With the combination of small class sizes for hands-on learners, classroom activities followed by in-the-seat field exercises, PTS students are well prepared and positioned for good entry-level employment opportunities. Our average 90% placement rate is a testament to this fact.

Our industry-experienced training staff includes NCCER Master Trainers, NCCER Craft Instructors, NCCCO Certified Instructors and NCCCO Certified Examiners. All staff members are also subject to Continuing Education Requirements as set forth by the Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

PTS has served hundreds of people, just like you who desired a new path on which to build a life. In addition to industry related training, PTS also provides soft skills training and resources to help you prepare for the employment hunt. In today’s world, it is not enough to have hard skills. According to The Balance Careers, “Candidates with strong soft skills are in high demand for many different types of jobs. Soft skills are the interpersonal attributes you need to succeed in the workplace. These are related to how you work with and relate to others—in other words, people skills.” Additionally, per The Balance Careers, “Employers want employees who are able to interact effectively with others. These skills are also very hard to teach, so employers want to know that job candidates already have the soft skills to be successful.”

During times when it can be difficult to find employment, PTS stands by our commitment to help you find appropriate employment. We care about you and your success, even following graduation.

Our team is 100% committed to the success of our students.
